These days working women have reduced the breastfeeding duration as they have to resume work after few months of delivery. Moreover, there are many babies or rather toddlers who do not leave mother's milk. For how long can you carry the toddler in mother's room to breastfeed? This is when weaning comes to the rescue.

Weaning is a process where the child is made to get over mother's breast milk. Often the toddler takes a lot of time and weaning becomes really difficult for the mother. Every now and then the toddler cries for mom's milk. But trouble increases when you do not feed and the toddler cries out loud. And this is not all. There are many troubles that come along the process of weaning. Here are the most common problems related to weaning.

Stubbornness: This is the most common problem that breastfeeding mothers face during pregnancy. The toddler cries for breast milk and do not prefer anything else. It is a common problem which is faced during the first stage of weaning.

Fussy Eaters: While weaning, you start adding new foods and cow's milk in the toddler's diet. However, during weaning, toddlers become fussy eaters. As they are used to breast milk, new taste and flavour makes them very fussy. They become choosy and feeding them other foods is really difficult.

Crying Out For Milk: Sometimes when you are out or really busy, your toddler might suddenly recollect and start crying out loudly for milk. At this moment you have to react according to the age of your child. For example, if the toddler is 2-4 years old, you can show your anger and divert the topic.

Stomach Problems: As the child is used to breastfeeding, when you are in the process of weaning, food can lead to digestive problems. In the beginning, your toddler might face digestive issues. Make sure you do not immediately start with heavy foods. For example, commence with roti and milk. Crush the roti into small particles so that it is easy to chew. You can also give rice and milk or with yogurt. Make sure you give enough water and milk. Also remember to observe which food or liquid your toddler is allergic to.

These are few problems that a mother faces during weaning. While leaving breastfeeding, make sure you do not force feed. Be soft and loving. This will help wean your toddler easily.
