The only thing which matters for some parents is their work and making tons of money! The most important thing, 'parenting' is somewhere included in the grandparent agenda where a grandparent is an icon in the child's life. In this modern society, it is the grandparent who is the most important person in a child's life. Without the survival of a grandparent, a child in this generation seems lifeless, and is therefore left in the mercy of a care sitter.

We may say that those were the days when grandparents were the sole caretakers of the child, and today parents consider themselves modern and do not like to follow this method. This is directly false because modern parents do not have the time to sit down and talk to their children, teaching them right from wrong. Experts say that modern parents do not know the value of parenting a child. They are free to cater to a child only after the child is asleep which is in the late night hours. Therefore, in cases like this, it is the grandparent who 'actually' brings up the child. But it is wrong for a grandparent to parent his/ her grandchild for a lot of reasons which is given below.

Child lacks parental love

When the grandparent looks after the grandchild, the child will lack parental love. Over a period of years, the child will slowly get disconnected with parents which might be a problem for further bonding.

It becomes a problem with studies

With the new introduction of new chapters and different types of lessons schools teach, grandparents are not up to date with the latest education. This will be a problem for the grandchild, therefore this is one of the reasons why grandparents should not parent their grandchildren.

Age is catching up

Due to age, grandparents are unable to cope with their grandchild. Grandparents cannot run behind their active grandchildren all the time. It becomes a hassle and a problem as well. Therefore, in cases of emergencies it is not a good opt, therefore, grandparents should not parent their grandchildren.

Disturbance in harmony

There might be an instance where the grandparent will tend to punish the grandchild or go over board with instructing the child to do something in a harsh way. This kind of a behaviour may not be accepted by the parents of the child. Thus, situations like these will only cause disharmony in the relationship.

Mental problems

Mental pressure will lead to severe psychological problems with the grandparents. Therefore, to avoid all this rendering problems, it is best that the grandparents should not parent their grandchildren.
