This is the time when the foetus's brain is developing rapidly and it is quite possible that he can see, hear too. It is in the eight month of pregnancy that the foetus's internal systems are well developed but, lungs may still be immature.
The Ninth Month Of Pregnancy (36 weeks)
Till the end of the third trimester, your baby will continue to grow in size. The foetal development in third trimester of pregnancy is complete at this phase. Here, the reflexes of the baby are in co-ordination where he/she can blink, close his/her eyes, turn the head and even respond much better to light, sound and touch too.
The foetal development in third trimester of pregnancy is all the more focussed in the ninth month since at this time the baby's position changes to prepare for labour where in the head drops down to the pelvis, towards the birth canal.
