Be Ready For These Postpartum Body Changes
If you have any notion that your body will go back to normal after you give birth, then get rid of them now. It will not be as simple as that. Most women find it easy to deal with their body changes during pregnancy because they assume it to be temporary. However, postpartum body changes are much more difficult to accept because you tend to think its permanent.
Don't worry, these postpartum body changes are not permanent. You need to work on your body and get back into shape. However, you should not have any illusions that as soon as your baby is born, your baby bump will turn into flat abs. Knowing about the postpartum body changed makes it much easier to accept them.

Here are some of the commonest postpartum body changes that occur in most women.
Baby Bump
The still prominent baby bump is the biggest shock to the new mother. But you must realise that your uterus stretches more than 20 times its size to accommodate your baby. It takes 9 months for the uterus to stretch, then how will it go back to normal instantly. The uterus will go back to its normal size in a few months.
Stretch Marks
Stretch marks are preventable but not completely. Some lucky women escape without a single stretch mark on their body. But a majority of new moms will notice stretch marks appear on their lower abdomen, breasts and thighs within a few weeks of delivery.
Sagging n Larger Breasts
All the hormonal upheaval makes your breasts grow in size. Beside,s when you are lactating, your breasts are bound to sag a bit. Follow the right breastfeeding process and wear nursing undergarments to prevent further sagging.
General Weight Gain
Your baby can weigh anything between 2.5 to 4 kgs. But the average weight gain during pregnancy is 10 kgs. So you are left with 5 to 6 kgs of extra weight to lose before you fit into your old jeans.
Hair Loss
A pregnancy drains your body of nutrients and leaves you with weakness. Postnatal hair fall happens due to lack of nutrition and hormonal changes. Be on a healthy diet to recover soon.
Loose Vagina
If you have a vaginal delivery, the huge amount of dilating will make your vagina a little looser than it was. You can try pulling you vaginal muscles in, holding it for 30 seconds and leaving it again. This helps to tighten the vaginal muscles.
Be mentally prepared for these postpartum body changes so that you can recover from them soon.
