It is very important to teach obedience to children. When you try to teach something, you may face certain challenges. Your kids may get resistant. They may also throw tantrums.

When you set certain rules for your kid to follow, you must first make it a point to be soft but firm. Being harsh will not make the required impact on your kid and it would prove counter productive as your kid tends to get stubborn if he is not comfortable with the rules. Respecting others is an important quality. As children have a tendency of absorbing or learning certain qualities from their immediate surroundings, ensure that you first practice what you preach. When you are teaching obedience to kids, see that you come across as a person who is obedient to a system. That will help the kid to learn something from you.
Consistency
How to teach obedience to children? It is better to maintain consistency in the set of rules that you frame for your kids. If you keep being flexible or if you relax the rules, children might think that obedience is a trait which can be displayed according to convenience.
Rewarding
When your kid impresses you with obedience, offer a small reward which motivates your kid. But ensure that you don't make rewarding a habit as every incident the requires obedience may require rewarding your kid.
