This is one of the tips for handling back talk. Find out something which your kid likes a lot. Deprive that pleasure. If you kid likes chocolates then you can simply warn your kid that you won't give a chocolate if he or she doesn't stop back talking. This is one way of handling back talk. However, you must play it safe so that it doesn't look like threatening.
Respond Fast
The moment your kid displays such behaviour, be quick in saying that such an attitude is not acceptable. Explain why using certain words isn't good. Make your kid sit and tell the reason why rudeness isn't a great quality. If your kid is too young to understand words, tell that you will hide all his toys in the shelf if he doesn't behave well.
Be Quick
It is good to be quick in acting. Do whatever you say. Hide your kid's toys in the shelf or give your kid's chocolates to servants so that your kid will understand that you were serious about acting on your words and doing what you have said.

Don't Get Violent
If your kid still continues with the backtalk don't get angry. Don't slap your kid. Start ignoring and move on. Wait for your kid to realise that you will deprive certain pleasure if he or she doesn't change. Be patient till the change comes. Did you understand how to handle back talk?
