Before lighting fireworks, we need to advise children to wear old clothes that are armed, easy to run and comfortable. Applying a body lotion will protect skin from harsh chemicals and lighting with gloved hands will easily prevent minor burns and sharp sparks that is emitted from crackers. Now, your kids are ready to play with fireworks.
Top 5 Safe Fireworks For Diwali:
- Gun Fireworks - These fireworks are highly safe and can be tried by kids of all ages. These guns come with paper reels that have an explosive material. The reels are loaded into the gun and when triggered the material is hit harder resulting in a gun shot. Gun fireworks are safe as the kids don't come in contact with fire. Even the sound isn't very disturbing. No waste, costs less and environment friendly.
- Sparklers - These fireworks are the favourites of both elders and kids. They look like the bigger version of incense sticks. When lit they sparkle and look very bright and beautiful. Sparklers are safe crackers as the metal string holder prevents children coming in contact with fire. These are available in different sizes and colours.
- Shots - Highly popular and the best attraction of the festival, shots (shot cake) if lit with parental guidance will go up the sky and explode with colourful showers. Since the shots explode only when fly up a distance they are safe. All that needs to be done before lighting these cakes is place them in a big bottle that is far away from electric and telephonic cables, antenna or vehicles.
- Flower Pots – The floral showers are the best attraction for kids during diwali. From children to the old, everyone would like to light flower pots. Different type of colours and sizes are available with these fireworks. For safety purpose it is best to use long sparklers to light them.
- Ground Wheels – The ground wheels at times can be a little tricky but they are safe to light on ground and terraces. All that the kids need to observe before lighting is that there are no inflammable substances close to them.
