All Time Favorite Kids Party Games

Through many decades, children have been entertained in their fun filled parties with these easy and entertaining games. I would term them as classic kids party games that can be played for many generation to come. Just take a look at them and use them to meticulously organize your kids party.

Chinese Whisper
This game is wrapped with laughter if and only if there are many kids to play. It doesn't need any equipment all it needs is few words that can make your kids roll over with laughter.

Make the kids sit in a circle.

Whisper an English word to the first person and ask the kid to translate it into Hindi (or any other language) and whispers it to the second person.

The seconds person translates it back into English and whispers it to the third person.

This pattern of alternating translation should continue until the last person.

Make the last kid to announce the word with a loud voice, what she/he heard. You will surely enjoy the hilarious end of this simple and fun filled game.

Traffic Light
This game may be known by some other name across the world. I remember calling it traffic light. The game requires good timing, quick reflexes and a sense of fair play.

Choose a field of play that has a straight line.

Choose one player, who will be the traffic light. You can choose the person with the help of chits.

Make the other kids line up behind the line and the traffic light should stand some distance away from the line (from 10 to 40 feet).

The game begins when the traffic light faces the players. At this point the light is considered to be red, the players are not allowed to move forward on a red light. The traffic light now turns away and shouts, "Green Light!" The players all move toward the traffic light. After few seconds traffic light shouts "Red Light!" and then turns around.

Any player caught moving after the light turns red is sent back to the start. The first player to tag the traffic light, or conversely, cross a designated line now becomes the traffic light.

The Donkey's Tail

You will need : Picture of a donkey with a missing tail
A donkey tail
A blindfold
Blindfold each of the player (one at a time ) and spun around three times. They are then pointed in the general direction of the donkey. The kids have to try and pin the tail in the right place. Whoever is closest to the given target wins.

The Sleeping Pirate
Pick one child as a pirate for the game. Make all the children (except one - The Pirate) sit cross legged on the floor in a circle. Let the pirate sit blind-folded in the middle of the circle, with a large bunch of keys on the floor in front of him.

A child is nominated to creep up and take the keys and then return to their place, without the pirate hearing them. The Pirate is given three chances to point to where he thinks the raider is. If he points the right person the raider becomes the Pirate.
