Does Depression Reduce Pregnancy Chances?
A new study claims that depression could reduce a woman's chances to conceive. According to this study, the probability of getting pregnant could reduce by nearly 35%.

Severe symptoms of depression during a menstrual cycle could reduce the chances of getting pregnant according to this study. This risk would remain the same even when medications are used.

Though there seems to be a link between infertility and depression, the usage of medication did not appear to be causing the infertility.

The main culprit seems to be the symptoms of severe depression with or without the usage of drugs for the treatment.

Though the actual reason behind the reduced chances of pregnancy in women suffering from depression is not yet found out, researchers claim that there is a link between both.

This disorder seems to alter the menstrual cycle and the ability to get pregnant. After studying more than 2000 women who are in the age group of 21 to 45 years, researchers came to this conclusion.

During the study, researchers noted down the symptoms and the drug usage of the women who were suffering from depression and were trying to conceive.
