Landmark Moments For Your Baby's Growth
Becoming a parent is an experience filled with adventure. Most first time parents do not realise that newborn babies grow almost on a daily basis. Your baby's growth may surprise you every day! So be prepared so that you don't miss any of the landmark moments in your baby's growth cycle.
You don't have to keep looking at your baby through the camera all the time for the fear of missing anything. We will give you complete list of all the important moments in your baby's life. We will also give you a rough idea of when to expect these 'baby moments'. There is a long list of 'firsts' in your baby's growth. So you need to a keep track of the most important ones.
Every child grows at its own pace. But keeping some growth standards in mind, we can give you an approximate idea of when your baby's moment of walking, talking or smiling will occur. Babies are incredibly expressive, so your baby might give you a bonus with some unique expression or gesture beyond these important landmarks.
Here are some of the most landmark moments in your baby's growth cycle and also when to expect them.

First Cry
If you have a vaginal birth, then you will hear your baby's first cries as soon as it is born. If you have a C-section, you will hear your baby's cries constantly for the next 2 weeks.

First Feed
The first feed is given immediately a few hours after birth. You will be asked to feed your baby the yellowish liquid coming out of your breasts that is called colostrum.

100 Watt Smile
By the time your baby is 1 month old, it can recognise your voice and even turn its head towards you. By 6 weeks, you can expect your baby to flash its million dollar smile on you.

Gurgling
By the time your baby is 6 to 8 weeks old, you will hear it gurgle for the first time. Gurgling is one of the first sounds made by your baby apart from crying.

First Kick
You may have felt your baby's first kicks when it was still in your womb. But after birth, your baby's legs get strong enough to kick at about 3 months. The baby can also use its legs to move horizontally on the bed.

Rolling Over
When you baby starts rolling over on its stomach, you need to start getting watchful. Babies often roll over and fall from the bed by the time they are 4-5 months old.

Sitting Up
In between 5 to 6 months, your baby will start sitting upright with some support. In some cases, your little one might sit up abruptly without any support too!

Crawling
The most beautiful moment in your baby's growth is probably the time it starts crawling. This will happen when your baby is around 6 months old. It is very difficult to watch over a crawling baby so be prepared.

First Words
After your baby completes 7 to 8 months, it starts picking up language. The baby will learn to call its parents 'mama' or 'dada' in its own baby language.

Standing Upright
Your baby can start raising itself on its two legs by the time it is 8 months old. This is about the time you buy your baby a walker to strengthen its legs.

First Steps
Your baby takes its first steps at the age of 9 months to 1 year. Some babies take longer to walk. But whenever that moment comes in your baby's life, you must be prepared with a camera.
