Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil Box Office Collection: Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil, the Tamil political satire led by Jiiva, has completed three days at the domestic box office and entered its fourth day in cinemas today, January 18. The film was released theatrically on January 15, 2026, as part of the Pongal festive lineup, a period that traditionally witnesses heightened competition among new releases in Tamil Nadu.
According to figures reported by box office tracking portal Sacnilk, Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil has earned an estimated ₹8.7 crore India net from its first three days of theatrical run. The collections reflect steady growth over the opening days, with Saturday contributing a significant share of the total. Day 3 figures are currently based on rough estimates, as final numbers are yet to be confirmed.
The film opened on Thursday with a collection of ₹1.5 crore. On Friday, Day 2 business saw a notable jump, with collections rising to ₹2.7 crore. Saturday further strengthened the film's early run, adding an estimated ₹4.5 crore, taking the three-day cumulative total to ₹8.7 crore India nett. The upward trend over the first weekend indicates improved footfalls as the festive period progressed.
In comparison to the other Pongal release, Vaa Vaathiyaar, Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil registered higher collections on Saturday. According to Sacnilk, the Karthi-starrer Vaa Vaathiyaar earned around ₹1.4 crore on the same day. With an estimated ₹6.95 crore India net over its first four days, the contrast highlights the differing box office responses during the competitive holiday window.

Directed by Nithish Sahadev, the film was written by Sanjo Joseph, Nithish Sahadev, and Anuraj O. B. The cast includes Prathana Nathan in a key role, along with Thambi Ramaiah, Ilavarasu, and several supporting actors such as Jensen Dhivakar, Jaiwanth, Sarjin Kumar, Rajesh Pandian, Subash Kannan, Amith Mohan, Anuraj OB, Sharath, Savithri, and others. Jiiva also serves as the creative producer on the project. The film is produced by Kannan Ravi under the K R Group banner, with Deepak Ravi as co-producer.
Music for Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil has been composed by Vishnu Vijay, while cinematography is handled by Bablu Aju and editing by Arjune Babu. The technical crew also includes art director Sunil Kumaran and action choreographer Prabhu Jacky.
