As one of the most awaited and chaotic week of fashion just ended, we got to see a lot of Lehengas for this wedding season as well as any other authentic functions. From bosphorus hued lehengas to heavy embroidered ones, all were head turners.
Manish Malhotra collection was a team of elegance and reinvention of a lehenga. His collection was colour blue dominated collection which brought out the elegance in his collection. Crop-tops teamed with voluminous rose pink lehenga; not forgetting the blue tints on one of the shoulders.

Lehengas which were mirror worked and 3D inspired with floral prints were dominating the ramp. We are hoping this genre of lehenga is a definite one to dominate even the wedding halls.
Anushree Reddy is another designer to look out for while doing your wedding shopping this season. Her collection was a colourful and frilly one. Pink, yellow, green and more of happy colours dominated the runway when this designer was concerned.

All girls love a little bling. And when it comes to her big day, shimmer is going to be an essential. Lehengas with heavy embroidery and shimmering dupattas are an eye catcher.
SVA by Sonam and Paras brought out their collection known as 'Istanblu' bringing the Turkish theme to the stage. The collection was dominated with angrakhas and lehengas fit for a little out of the ordinary wedding, if you are looking for one.

Sabyasachi Mukherjee's collection in 2015 Summer Resort, Lakme Fashion Week was fabulous. The colour, texture and the fabrics used for his lehenga collection were simply marvelous. His line "Big Love" for his label "Sabyasachi" set the pace for the whole week and also for the whole of wedding season.

Ileana D'Cruz set the ramp on fire with this baby pink embroidered lehenga choli by Anushree Reddy. A pale pink lehenga with zig-zag print and a very light shimmering dupatta. This is a must have lehenga for a bride as well as anyone attending a wedding, wearing a lehenga.

Lehengas are the prime focus of every guest at a wedding. Also, they are an asset to a bride's big day. The best of the best this season was brought out by the designers this year for Lakme Fashion Week. All the high embroidery and 3D shimmer mirror are the new must have genre for a wedding.

Anamika Khanna's Indo-Western collection for the Grand Finale was a mind blowing one. The deconstruction of the design and the style was definitely out of the box. Something to watch out for if you want a little twist to your regular lehenga. Ivory and metallic designs reign her collection.
