Book lovers are a different breed on their own. They usually have their own sort of connection that non-book lovers can never get. The trouble is that being a book lover comes with its unique set of problems. People who love to read books have their own set of values and principles. For example, they don't like to be disturbed when they are reading.

Moreover, fictional characters are more real than real people for book lovers. People who do not read books can never understand this fact. Book lovers often talk about literary characters as it they were real. And many people think that they have lost their marbles. There are many other problems that book lovers face.

For example, if someone asks an avid reader what is his/her favourite book is, it is like asking a mother who is your favourite child! You simply cannot ask such questions.

Well they are expecting a one word answer. But you have at least 10 books to name and don't want to miss out any.

When you lend a book..

You are always in an anticipation that it will come back in bad condition or worse, not come back at all. This world is full of people who steal book!

When a movie is made from the book..

And does complete injustice to the book. Not only does the movie change the story for cinematic purposes, but also changes your perception of the characters. For example, Hermoine Granger was supposed to have buck teeth!

You make a literary joke and no one laughs

You say something like, 'Girls stop waiting for your Mr Darcy' and a bunch of girls who have never read Pride and Prejudice stare at you as if you are the silly one.

When your favourite character dies..

When Sirius Black dies in the 5th book, many Harry Potter fans cried on the streets!

When you walk into a book store

Its like a shopoholic walking into a fashion store. You just don't know what to buy. You simply want it all!

When you like someone and he/ she hates reading

You are getting nice and cozy with someone and he/ she suddenly mention how boring it is to read. Their goes your plans for a romantic date next weekend.

When you are reading and interrupted

People just don't get it that reading is a mentally engaging activity. You cannot be reading an interesting book and listening to the latest topic at the same time.
