A Man Who Lived Sans Food For 70 Years!

Prahlad Jani, an 82 year old sadhu, claimed to have lived for the past 70 years, without food or water!
To test his claims, doctors had put him under round-the-clock observation during a two-week hospital stay at Sterling hospital, Ahmedabad. The doctors have also confirmed that he did not ingest any food or water, and remained perfectly fit.
Dr. Sudhir Shah, who studied his case said that he did not do any physical activity or straneous work. However, Dr. Michael Van Rooyen, an emergency physician at Harvard"s Brigham and Women"s Hospital said that did not believe the sadhu or the doctor.
Van Rooyen said that depending on climate conditions like temperature and humidity, a human can survive for a maximum of five or six days without water. In extraordinary conditions, it can also extend up to a day or two, but not beyond.
Living for 70 years without food or water cannot be biologically explained.
Can anybody give a scientific reason or are we forced to believe that spiritual powers make you a super being?
