Oldies Too Are Facebook Addicts

Oldies are getting busy these days in updating their status or changing their profile picture and following their grand kids, the one who introduced them to the hub of social networking.
People who are over the age of 50 are now a days getting addicted to social networking, this has been proved by a new study. It also showed that over any other networking sites like MySpace, LinkedIn and Twitter 23 percent of the oldies prefer Facebook.
The AARP survey says that among the 1360 adults who were surveyed, an approximate of 47 percent got to know the nuances of social networking from a friend but 70 percent stated that they learned it either from their kid or grand kid.
The interesting fact about the social networking among the grannies is that, an approximate of 62 percent states that they are connected to their children on Facebook, where as 36 percent is connected to their grandchildren.
