Deepa Mehta To Receive Lifetime Achievement Award
The 50-year-old mehta will receive the 2008 Infinite Power of Story Lifetime Achievement Award on Oct. 13 from School of Film and Television during its Film Outside the Frame Festival, reports Variety. She would also be presented with the Cosgrove Distinguished Visiting Artist appointment during the festival, reports Variety
Deepa Mehta is an Indian-born Canadian film director and screenwriter. Mehta's 'Heaven on Earth' which touches the issues of immigration, isolation and power of imagination was recently premiered at the Toronto Film Festival.
