Bangalore becomes the hatchery of cabin crews
If you have ever had the dream of becoming a glamorous cabin crew who makes the living, flying across the globe and conquering the skies. The career of cabin crew is the one that helps you to set your foot above the clouds with decent earnings and high profile status. And today the profession of cabin crew is much aspired than any other career.
Virtually, Bangalore has become the hatchery of cabin crews with a good number of training institutes and an International airport at hand stretch. With existing airlines expanding their service routes and new ones trying to wriggle in, there is a pressing need to have more and more trained cabin crews. "If you have completed training in a cabin crew training school you can walk into Bangalore airport with your resume and take your pick of airlines" says Rohit Goyal, COO of Kairali Aviation. The increasing number of flights that pass through the city each day has fueled the demand for cabin crews.
It is a misconception that a cabin crew should be pretty or handsome. It is more important that one should know how to present oneself well. Even if you are not an academic high achiever you go on to become a cabin crew.
Bangalore has a number of schools that train and certify people on the fields of aviation, hospitality and travel. The major ones are 'Flying Cats', 'Frankfinn', AHA etc... The cost may vary form one lakh to few lakhs depending on the school. The course include language training, grooming and etiquette, ground handling skills, softwares for computerized ticketing, hospitality industry etc... and classes on swimming, yoga, first aid...
As the demand for cabin crew grows sky high and the attrition rates move further up, a trained person can always find a job either on the aviation industry of at hospitality fields.
