WIFW’15: Mrinalini Presents Kaftan Styles
WIFW 2015 has lived up to its name so far. After all, it is the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2015 Spring Summer and thus most of the collections have been very summery. Mrinalini's WIFW 2015 was also very summer friendly. The clothes were easy and breezy keeping the soaring temperatures in mind.
This collection from Mrinalini on Day 4 of WIFW 2015 was very choosy with the colours. It used mainly 3 colours namely black, white and grey. All the designs were created from a combination of these three colours only. As far as the stylistic elements go, this collection used the form of the kaftan widely.

There were kaftan tops, tunics and dresses in this collection. We particularly like a striped kaftan kurta with a cowl neck that was worn over a patiyala.

This outfit is sure to get picked by one of the more experimental celebrities. It will surely give them an arty look. Apart from kaftans there were shorts and loose cotton pants keeping comfort in mind.

There were also tank tops and loose fitting dungarees in this WIFW 2015 collection to help you combat the hot Indian summer that is approaching. Besides, there were a variety of summer jackets and shrugs that would be very useful in the summer. This collection from Mrinalini also was predominantly stitched out of cotton but there was occasional use of lace, net and tulle.
