WIFW'15: EKA Weaves Magic With Cotton
Day 2 of WIFW 2015 opened with the EKA show. This designer label presented a perfect summer collection to us. It was cotton galore on the ramp of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2015 Spring Summer. There were tons of designs using plain cotton. The colours were chosen from a palate of dull pastels.
The prints used in the WIFW 2015 collection of EKA were simple and discreet. Most of the designs had no prints at all. They were plain cotton and looked totally comfy for the hot summer months. Layered tunic comprised a majority of the collection. The outfits were shirt dresses or shift dresses and we even saw a wrap around dress in the collection.

There was a dominance of white on the colour palate. The entire collection of EKA seemed like a dream sequence. The whites were flowy and fluid. There were some really awesome summer jackets on display here. The details of the outfits were simple. Be it stripes or prints, there was nothing to spoil the simple grace of these clothes.

The blush tones we saw on the runaway are perfect for day wear. Coupled with interesting scarves and headgears, this collection is completely 'summer-ready'. Besides, the use of tribal jewellery and comfy sports shoes adds a touch of funkiness to the collection. This is simply cotton at its best.
