IIFA Awards’14: Celebs In Foreign Designer Outfits

IIFA Awards takes place at a foreign location every year. This year, IIFA Awards 2014 was held in Tampa Bay, Florida. The festivities at an exotic location seemed to have made Bollywood celebrities develop a taste for exotic fashion designers. The celebrities at IIFA 2014 wore many designer outfits that totally surprised us.

Bollywood celebrities wore designer outfits from fashion labels that were foreign and not very common. For example, when was the last time you saw an Indian celebrity were Oscar De La Renta or a Monique Lhuillier? These are fashion labels that Hollywood celebrities patronise. They are really rare on Indian red carpets.

You may have expected to see a Dior or an Armani on the green carpet of IIFA Awards 2014. But we were surprised to see celebrities at IIFA 2014 try out many different foreign designers. The number of celebrities who wore foreign designer labels was also higher. Looks like Bollywood has suddenly become very ‘posh' and experimental with its wardrobe.

Kareena Kapoor In Armani

Kareena Kapoor Khan looked smoking hot in this black Armani gown on the awards night at IIFA Awards 2014. Kareena Kapoor's deep plunging neckline was covered by a nude body con under suit that almost had us confused!

Priyanka Chopra In Monique Lhuillier

Priyanka surprised us by wearing a Monique Lhuillier gown for the awards night. We loved the lace and silver detailing of the gown but we doubt if we have ever seen Pee Cee wear this foreign designer before.

Deepika In Zuhair Murad

The full-sleeved sheer red gown that Deepika Padukone wore was a signature Zuhair Murad creation. We have seen Deepika wear the Lebanese designer once in the past.

Sridevi In Marchesa

Sridevi has lately been wearing a lot of stylish foreign labels. She stunned us at the Magic Of The Movies event by wearing this white peplum gown from Marchesa. The sleeveless gown had gold embroidery work on it.

Priyanka Chopra In Dior/Valentino

Priyanka Chopra was dressed by foreign designer labels from top to toe for IIFA Awards 2014 press conference. Her orange and white outfit was from Christian Dior and she wore Valentino pumps with it.

Kareena Kapoor In Armani

Ms Khan seems to have taken a fancy to Giorgio Armani. She wore this black velvet skirt and white beaded top for the Magic Of The Movies event before wearing an Armani Prive gown on the awards night.

Yami Gautam In Clover Canyon

Yami Gautam kept her style statement at IIFA 2014 young and smart by wearing this white mini dress with blue details from American designer Clover Canyon.

Sonakshi Sinha In DYNK

Sonakshi Sinha looked very chic in this LBD (little black dress) that was from DYNK. The cut out flared dress suited Sonakshi Sinha's new slim figure very well.

Sridevi In Oscar De La Renta

Sridevi looked stunningly beautiful in this shimmering black ballroom gown. This sleeveless black gown was flared just below the waist. Oscar De La Renta is a fairly uncommon foreign designer label among Bollywood celebrities.

Yami Gautam In BCBG

Yami Gautam looked photo ready in this one shoulder cut out gown from BCBG. She paired her black outfit with a Tori Burch clutch and Jessica Simpson high heel shoes.
