IBFW 2014: Tarun Tahiliani's Gold Collection
Lights, camera and the show begins. Tarun Tahiliani weaves magic with his creations on IBFW 2014 ramp. The ace designer opened the BMW India Bridal Fashion Week 2014 with his splendid creation. We were expecting his collection to awesome but we had no idea that we would be this spellbound.
At first, a bunch of models dressed in black came out to shock us. Black is a very unconventional colour for Indian brides. But there was more to come. There were models dressed in ivory coloured outfits and also in raw red. Tarun Tahiliani is always at his best when it comes to red. But this time, our favourite design so far is the new age bride in the black dhoti. The gilded ivory coloured lehenga will surely be one of the best designs at IBFW 2014.
Tarun Tahiliani set up the stage for IBFW 2014 in an interesting way. Backlights lit up to show the sketch of Rashtrapati Bhawan and a model posed on top of the electronic structure to begin the show. The collection was heavy on velvets, chiffons and gold embroidery as is obvious for a bridal collection. We particularly love the ostritch feather details on the saree that was showcased on the stage of IBFW 2014.
Here are the pick of the designs from BMW India Bridal Fashion Week 2014. For all the PHOTOS

Rashtrapati Bhawan
The show began with a model poses on top of the Rashtrapati Bhawan that was lit up by backlights.

Black n Gold
The black and gold were the predominant colours in the first part of the collection. As you can see, the drape used here was completely gold in colour.

Dhoti For The Bride
The collection moved on to give us a glimpse of dhoti pants worn with short kurtas and drapes. This ensemble has chikan work on it.

Black n Gold Lehenga Gown
This lehenga has a layered texture and a maggie sleeve choli. The solid gold dupatta has been draped in a way to make the outfit look like a gown.

The Ivory Bride
The bride is dressed in an ivory coloured lehenga choli. The choli is like gilded armour and the drapes are sheer. This is our favourite outfit from the collection.

Anarkali With Dhoti Pants
This outfit comprised of a anarkali kurta that was worn over dhoti pants. The influence of gold is very obvious in this collection.

Brides In Red n Black
The burnt brick coloured red lehengas has been laced with black borders. While one of the cholis has sheer sleeves, the other is full-sleeved sharara top.

Orange Brides
These were brides dressed in shades of orange and gold. These bridal lehengas are classic Tarun Tahiliani creations. There is golden sequined work on them and the drapes are partially sheer.

Blocks Of Red n Black
The golden bandhgala is being worn with a red Banarasi silk drape. But there is also the black fishtail lehenga with a velvet drape.

Velvet Vests
These two models showcase a series of black velvet vests. The female model also sports a orange scarf with the vest.

Ivory Collection
The ivory collection of Tarun Tahiliani is perfectly represented by these three wite outfits. There is one white gown and two bandhgalas on display here.

Black Sharara
This black sharara is one of the best outfits in the collection. She has sheer sleeves and gold embroidery.

Wrap Lehenga
Black is an unconventional colour for the bride. However, this solid black lehenga was worn with a sleeveless choli. But drape makes the outfit interesting.

Golden Anarkali
This bandhgala anarkali is a really nice. The golden silhouette looked stunning with the asymmetrical layers on it.

Velvet Blouse
This is a trademark red lehenga choli. What makes the blouse interesting is that it is made up of velvet and has sheer sleeves.

Golden Lehenga Saree
This lehenga saree has the most intricate work on it. The lehenga is a piece of art and the drape makes it perfect.

Pastel Pink Lehenga
This is a lovely pastel pink anarkali. The silhouette has lace underneath the main hem. This outfit has a plunging neckline.

Ivory And Gold Lehenga Choli
Ivory and gold is a very classy combination. The neckline of the choli was a deep U cut and it was filled with several strings of pearls.

Blue Lace
There was nothing extraordinary about the bandhgalas. However, the blue lace leme saree was design we least expected from Tarun Tahiliani.

The Ending Mirage
In the end, all the models posed behind a sheath of light to make stage look like a mirage.
