IBFW 2014: Tarun Tahiliani's Gold Collection

Lights, camera and the show begins. Tarun Tahiliani weaves magic with his creations on IBFW 2014 ramp. The ace designer opened the BMW India Bridal Fashion Week 2014 with his splendid creation. We were expecting his collection to awesome but we had no idea that we would be this spellbound.

At first, a bunch of models dressed in black came out to shock us. Black is a very unconventional colour for Indian brides. But there was more to come. There were models dressed in ivory coloured outfits and also in raw red. Tarun Tahiliani is always at his best when it comes to red. But this time, our favourite design so far is the new age bride in the black dhoti. The gilded ivory coloured lehenga will surely be one of the best designs at IBFW 2014.

Tarun Tahiliani set up the stage for IBFW 2014 in an interesting way. Backlights lit up to show the sketch of Rashtrapati Bhawan and a model posed on top of the electronic structure to begin the show. The collection was heavy on velvets, chiffons and gold embroidery as is obvious for a bridal collection. We particularly love the ostritch feather details on the saree that was showcased on the stage of IBFW 2014.

Here are the pick of the designs from BMW India Bridal Fashion Week 2014. For all the PHOTOS

There was nothing extraordinary about the bandhgalas. However, the blue lace leme saree was design we least expected from Tarun Tahiliani.
