It is believed that getting an Oscar nomination is not easy. While Leonardo DiCaprio is still struggling hard to win the Oscar award, there are some actors who have got more than one nominations at the highest honor award ceremony.

There is one fine American actress who has got the most Oscar nominations than any other actress. Meryl Streep whose August: Osage County had landed her in the Best Actress nominations for Oscars 2014 made her the only actress with the highest Oscar nominations.

Till now Meryl Streep is the only actress who has got 18 Oscar nominations in her acting career. The late Katharine Hepburn was the first actress who had got 12 Oscar nominations. However, the fine and gorgeous actress Meryl Streep stands next to The late Katharine Hepburn who has won highest (4) Oscars. Meryl with her 3 Academy Awards will be in the same line as Katherine if she wins this year for August: Osage County.

There is one more young actress who is coming in line for the Oscar nominations. At the very young age of 23, Jennifer Lawrence is the only third-time youngest nominee at Oscars. Even this year, Jennifer Lawrence has been nominated for Oscars 2014. She has been given a nod for the Best Supporting Actress in Russell's comedy-drama, American Hustle.

Jennifer Lawrence is the only youngest three-time Oscar nominee ever and second in the list of youngest female Oscar winners. Jennifer is behind Tatum O'Neal (who won an Oscar for 1973's Paper Moon at 10). Jennifer who won Best Actress 2013 Academy Award for role in Silver Linings Playbook got her first nomination at the age of 20 for her role in 2011's Winter's Bone. Interestingly, Jennifer Lawrence also appears to be the youngest Oscar nominee of 2014 as well.
