The Golden Globe Award is an American accolade bestowed by the 93 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) recognizing excellence in both film and television. The 1st Golden Globe Awards were held in January 1944 at the 20th Century-Fox studios in Los Angeles. In 2014, the 71st Golden Globe Awards will be conducted on Sunday 12th January at the Beverly Hilton.
