Schools are closed and children at home are getting restless by the minute and so are the parents. Trips, tours and getaways are on the mind but due to heavy schedules, parents these days are making it impossible to take extended leave for a long holiday during the summer season.

So, for a short trip around Karnataka, the best places you would want to take your children to is the wildlife and bird sanctuaries. In this way, the child as well as you will be able to enjoy the wonderful nature God has given to us!

1.Peacock Sanctuary – Bird lovers will enjoy this wonderful sanctuary situated in Karnataka. The Peacock Sanctuary is also called as the Adichunchanagiri Peacock Sanctuary! During the summer season, this place is mostly visited by family who come here to spend their time looking at magnificent birds who fly from different parts of the world as the climate is well suited for them. At The Peacock Sanctuary, one can even go out on trekking as it is allowed only if you pay a certain sum of rupees. 2.Bandipur National Park – Known as the best National Park in Karnataka where one would find multiple types of birds and animals just roaming around the area. At the Bandipur National Park, one would find that the climate is simply amazing to spend with the family. The whole atmosphere is filled with birds and butterflies giving you that feeling of joy. The Bandipur National Park in Karnataka is also has wildlife where on your way you can see a pack of hyenas on the road, leopards and wild elephants strolling around the park region. The best part of the Bandipur National Park is the fauna and flora scenery where one would be bounded with awe.

3.Bannerghatta Wildlife Sanctuary – At this wildlife sanctuary, one would find a number of rare birds and wild animals locked up behind those huge cages. Though, these wild animals are well secured, at the Bannerghatta Wildlife Sanctuary you would see that the animals really enjoy their stay as the surrounding is pleasant and covered full with trees giving them a comfortable home. Other than just peeking at these wonderful animals, Bannerghatta Wildlife Sanctuary has the facility where you can go on a jungle safari to see the lions, tigers, wild bears, boars and deer, which is something you shouldn't miss.
