Glimpses Of Rajasthani Culture Enchanted Visitors

Rajasthani dance
Tourists from different parts of the world thronged Sar, an obscure village in Rajasthan, to enjoy the lively traditional music and vibrant dances with the villagers during a recent international rural cultural camp.

These tourists had a first hand experience of the rural life and were captivated by the colourful dances performed by the villagers. So much so, they came forward to shake their legs in the popular local dance named 'Ghoomar'.

Although the tourists were not familiar to the local traditions they appeared to be enjoying a wonderful time here.

“I had an interesting and wonderful experience. The villagers were very open and thus creating space for communication. Its my first visit to India and especially wanted to go to Rajasthan. So it"s one of the best experiences you can have," said Careina, a German tourist.

Rajasthan offers one of the most diversified customs and culture. Famous for its music and dance, the Ghoomar dance is widely recognised. Folk music is a vital part of Rajasthani culture.
