How To Book Tickets For The Red Fort Ceremony
If you're planning to attend in person, tickets are available both online and offline.
Online Booking (From August 13, 2025):
- Visit aamantran.mod.gov.in and click on "Online Ticket Booking for Independence Day 2025."
- Fill in your personal details and upload a valid photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, or Voter ID).
- Choose your category: ₹20 (General), ₹100 (Standard), or ₹500 (Premium).
- Pay online and download your e-ticket with a QR code for entry.
Event Timings And Key Highlights
- The main ceremony begins at 7:30 AM on August 15, 2025.
- Arrive between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM to pass security and find your seat.
- The programme includes a ceremonial Guard of Honour, a 21-gun salute, flag hoisting, flower showers by the Indian Air Force, and the Prime Minister's address.

Delhi Metro Special Timings
Services start at 4:00 AM across all lines on August 15, running every 30 minutes until 6:00 AM, after which normal schedules resume.
Closest stations: Lal Qila (Violet Line), Chandni Chowk (Yellow Line), Jama Masjid, and Delhi Gate.
Invitees with official Ministry of Defence cards will receive special QR metro tickets.
Traffic Restrictions
- Heavy vehicle bans and diversions will be in place across Delhi, Gurugram, and Faridabad.
- Expect restrictions between 4:00 AM and 10:00 AM on August 13 (rehearsal) and August 15 (event day).
