Katie Holmes loves the sewing machine as her birthday gift, as she loves to sew things herself just the way her mother did. She reveals
that as Suri is quite a fashion freak, the sewing machine will help her keep up to he demands. Tom Cruise had known he wish to have a sewing machine and thus, thought it as the best birthday gift for Katie Holmes.

“My husband got me a sewing machine for my birthday. My mom grew up making curtains and pillows and everything, and it made our home very warm, so I like to do things like that with my daughter," she Katie Holmes.
