Take That Tickets Crosses The Mark Of $1M

By Denise Baptiste

The popular British band, Take That, has record sale of 1 million tickets in 24 hours for the 'Progress Live 2011 tour'. Reportedly, the demands of the tickets is twice as high as the demand for Michael Jackson comeback tour.

"We are speechless, truly and utterly shocked! This is the most amazing news for all of us. To sell one million tickets in a day is mind blowing and we think we'll be in shock for a few days," said one of the band members.

The reason for the demand for tickets of Take That 2011 tour, is the reunion of Robbie Williams with Gary, Howard, Jason and Mark. Robbie Williams had quit the group due to some internal conflict. On the upcoming new year 2011, the five come back together.

According to BBC reports, initially, the three most famous ticketing websites, Ticketmaster, Ticketline and the Ticket Factory were issued the rights to sell the tickets but with the huge demand for tickets of Take That tour, the vendor telephone lines are jammed and the national telephone network had received between three and four times the normal number of calls. Thus, tickets were made available on some of the other venues. The exhausting demand for tickets have exhausted those as well, touching the mark of 1 million tickets sold.

The Take That band is delighted to see positive response and hopes to live up to the demand of their fans. As for Robbie Willimas, this will be the first tour with Take That in 16 years.
