The King of Pop had a funeral that was not a lesser one. His family had a price tag of roughly 1 million dollars for Michael Jackson's funeral. His burial garments came to 35,000 dollars, while 175,089 dollars was spent on security.

In September, Jackson's estate petitioned the court to approve the immediate release of the funds from the King of Pop's fortune to pay for the proceeding. As per the paperwork, 855,730 dollars was owed to Forest Lawn memorial park & Mortuary. Michael Jackson was interred in a service attended by his whole family, close friends and many celebrities.

The Glendale cemetery charged 590,000 dollars for the Holly Terrace sarcophagus that holds Jackson's remains, as well as 88,500 dollars for endowment care, 25,000 dollars for the casket, etc.

Among a list of other expenses:

• 3,682 dollars for framing of a photograph of Jackson next to his casket

• 1,975 dollars for wardrobe costs for the family

• 11,716 dollars for invitations/programs

• 16,000 dollars for flowers

• 30,000 dollars for additional cars and security.
