Jakie Chan To Donate His Chinese Homes
Jackie Chan will be donating his precious collection of old Chinese homes to a university. The homes are said to be worth 67 million dollars and now will find a new place at a university in Singapore.

Chan's collection has seven homes that date back to the country's Ming and Qing dynasties, and also has a decorative performing stage. The collection is presently at a warehouse in Hong Kong.

The martial arts expert is making the donation to the university that is due to open in 2010 and believes that the students will appreciate the collection in years to come. "He loves Singapore. He thinks it's the best place to donate his houses to provide education and let the people appreciate them," Contactmusic quoted Chan's property manager Simon Kwan as saying.

The country's Minister for Foreign Affairs, George Yeo, added: "I am very excited about the offer as it comes at a time when we are actively exploring a tie-up between our new university and a leading Chinese university. The Chinese houses would be a wonderful symbol of this proposed partnership." AGENCIES
