Dead Woman Wakes Up In Coffin

Heard of the phrase 'walking dead' ? That is exactly what happened at a funeral Gongzhuling, Jilin province. A woman apparently was declared dead due to lung cancer, but after 21 hours she woke up from dead in her coffin!

The doctors say that this might have happened due to the advanced stages of cancer. The lady's husband and daughter were keeping a vigil beside her coffin when they heard a knock from inside the coffin, reports the China Daily. The unbelievable sight left the woman's daughter trembling with fear.

It was a common practice centuries ago to construct a bell inside the coffins so that the dead could easily ring it when they arose, this was to be heard as a signal by the undertaker and the person could be rescued. This was practised during the era when the medical science was not advanced enough to accurately declare a body finally dead and many a times people arose from their graves, who were wrongly declared dead.But the similar incident occurring in the 21st century surely places the advanced age of Medical sciences in to serious questions.
