Air Arabia's Low Cost Airline ''Fly-yeti'' Launched!

Dubai: Sharjah-based budget carrier Air Arabia has commenced operations from its newest hub in Kathmandu, Nepal, with the launch of "FlyYeti", Nepal's first low-cost carrier.

FlyYeti's inaugural flight took off from Kathmandu Airport yesterday to Sharjah Airport. The new low-cost carrier is a joint venture between Air Arabia and Yeti Airlines, a leading domestic carrier in Nepal.

Air Arabia, a major shareholder in the new company, will apply its successful low-cost business model to the management and operation of FlyYeti.

"This newest hub will give air travellers who use Air Arabia access to new destinations in India and wider south Asia, as well as the far East and central Asia," Air Arabia Chief Executive and board member Adel Ali said.

"The new hub will allow Air Arabia passengers to fly to new destinations and get the same high standard of service they have come to expect from Air Arabia.

FlyYeti will also give customers in the Gulf states and wider West Asia an exceptional and inexpensive way to connect to these destinations," Ali was quoted as saying by the Gulf News.
