School Returns In Patna
Patna, Aug 10 (UNI) The trauma and horror of of kids returned to haunt Patna, with a student Aakash lifted from near his school today.
Aakash, a seventh standard student of DAV school, was kidnapped on the VIP Baily road near J D Women's college under Shastringar police station area in the state capital.
According to the police, Aakash was abducted when he was on way to his school. About three unidentified criminals escaped after dragging Askash in their vehicle.
Some of the eye witnesses present at the spot for dropping their wards to schools chased the van, but could not get hold of the vehicle. The area from where the took place in considered to be a VIP area as former Bihar Chief Minister Jaganath Mishra resides there and the DAV school in which Aakash studied is located near his residence. Soon after getting the information of abduction police swung into action to locate the vehicle. The police said all exit route of the state capital was sealed and each and every vehicle was being frisked.
Meanwhile, Yogendra Pandey father of Aakash said he had not received any phone call for ransom from the abductors and being a salaried person he was not even in a position to satisfy the ransom demands. Mr Pandey ruled out rivalry with any one.
He said Aakash was not keeping well for the past few days and after recovering from the illness he had left home for the school.
Bihar has earned a ill-repute for of school kids. In the past Golu, Siddshant Parmar, Dipak, Ankit, Shivani, Kislay and others were kidnapped in the last couple of years.
Within the past one year about 14 school students had been abducted from the state capital.
As per the official reports compiled by the state authorities, maximum abductions had taken place in Patna udner the very nose of the adminstration. On several occasions the High Court too taking suo moto notice of the s and treating the related news items as PIL had directed the state government to initiate measures to prevent abductions of the children.
Following the directions, the state government had chalked out strategies to provide security cover to the school going children and for this mobile police teams conducted patrolling around the school areas.
Police personnel were also deployed at the gates of all most all schools and the concerned police stations were entrusted with the responsibilities for the security of the students in their jurisdiction.
After a meeting with the school administration, representatives of the guardians and police authorities, the students were provided proper Identity cards for giving detail information about the student.
