Indian Mulberry tea cures many ailments
New Delhi, Jan 21 (UNI) This tea not only cheers but is also said to cure many a common ailment.
Made from mulberry leaves for the first time in India, the herbal tea will hit the market across the country next month.
Named 'Sfoorti' (Energy), the tea was test-marketed in Mysore last month with favourable results, according to sources in the National Research Development Corporation (NRDC).
They claim that mulberry tea has medicinal properties to cure ailments such as diabetes, hypertention and constipation The popularity of the tea will financially help the farmers who grow mulberry trees to extract silk from mulberry worms, they say.
Though imported mulberry tea is available in India, it is for the first time that scientists here have developed it.
