Late Vijay Anand's son, Vaibhav Anand is set to make his Bollywood debut as a director. Vaibhav had assisted Sooraj Barjatya in Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon and also Ravi Chopra for Baabul. The young man has finished writing a script for a thriller and plans to film it soon.
Interestingly, Vaibhav had been doing acting since his college days. He even went to improve his acting skills at Lee Strasber Institute of Theatre and Film in New York. It was actually there that he came up with the idea for his film. He wrote the script based on the idea. In fact his father too loved the script. He therefore plans to wear the director's hat. However, acting isn't completely sidelined.
For his film, Vaibhav has approached John Abraham. He also plans to have Amitabh Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor in his film.
