Lord buddha's urn to be kept in Vaishali: Raghuvansh
Patna, Oct 9 (UNI) Union Rural Development Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh has strongly demanded that Lord buddha's urn (sacred ash) should be displayed in Vaishali district.
Speaking at a programme here yesterday, Mr Singh, who represents Vaishali Lok Sabha constituency, justified his demand for moving the holy urn to Vaishali saying it shoild be kept there as it was excavated there only.
He complained that the urn had been kept in Patna museum and displayed to foreign tourists at a fee of 100 dollars.
Lamenting that there was no buddha museum in Vaishali, Mr Prasad proposed to set up one so as to provide relevent information to the visitors, adding it will boost tourism.
Meanwhile, the state government has been planning to place the holy urn for public display under high security in Patna.
