Easy Care Tips For Your Pet Rabbit
Rabbits are pretty easy pets to keep. They are not the high maintenance kind of pets and are extremely kid-friendly. But they also can be a nuisance because of their litter and high breeding rate.
If you are planning to have a rabbit as pet then you must understand that it is not going to be the same as a cat or a dog. It may be furry and snuggly like cats but as far as it's health requirements are concerned, it is a completely different specie.

There are different varieties of rabbit. Some are pure white, some are sandy brown and few have blotches of different colours over their white furry coat. All of these breeds are suitable as pets. But young children have to be supervised while handling rabbits lest they would end up harming them.
Here are some easy care tips for your pet rabbit. Make sure you have all these essentials at your home before you bring home your furry little bunny.
A Hutch
A rabbit enclosure is known as hutch. To keep rabbits as pets you need a good amount of space. Your rabbit will need enough space to make at least 3-4 hops. If you are planning to have outdoor hutches then make sure it's a shady one and is protected from wind.
Litter
Rabbits litter a lot. So, it is essential to have alitter box at disposal. A regular litter pan of the kind sold for medium or large cats is ideal. Spread paper-based cat litter on the bottom, and then cover that with hay. You rabbit will use it as toilet without hesitation.

Exercise
You do not need to take your rabbit for a walk. If you have a large hutch then your rabbit will have a good amount of exercise just by hopping around the fence.
Feeding Your Bunny
Rabbits don't need high quality food. Provide them with plenty of fresh hay, quality rabbit pellet, fresh vegetables like carrots and that's all they need to survive. The hay should be unlimited and pellets are to be provided between 1/4 cup to 3/4 cup. Avoid giving them tomatoes.

Grooming
Rabbits groom themselves obsessively. However, you will need to help or your rabbit will make herself sick by swallowing huge amounts of fur. Brush her regularly, at least a few times a week, and more when she is moulting.
