Soap Water: This is one of the simplest tips to clean your wedding ring or any other diamond ring at home. Firstly, remove the visible impurities that get accumulated on the back of the ring due to sweat, dirt and grime. Use a tooth pick or a safety pin to remove the dirt. Follow this tip to clean the diamond ring before using the procedures mentioned below. Now soak the diamond ring in soap water for 10 minutes. Use a toothbrush to clean the dirt and bring back the lost shine of the stone.

Ammonia: You can also use ammonia to clean the diamond ring at home. Ammonia not only removes the dirt and dust particles that gather in between the rings, but also makes the diamonds shine bright like new. Combine 1 part of ammonia with 3 parts of water in a small bowl. Soak the diamond ring in the bowl and swirl with a tooth pick for not more than 10 minutes. If the ring still looks dirty, use a soft bristled toothbrush to clean the ring. Take out the ring and wash with warm water. Dry and polish with a lint-free cloth.

Dish Washing Liquid: Frequent wear of ring can lead to the deposit of grease and oil which affect the shine of the stone. So, soak the diamond ring in water and dish washing liquid solution for not more than 8-10 minutes. Rinse with warm water and dry with a clean cloth.
