Organizing kitchen shelf is a hectic job. All the containers, vessels and utensils need proper arrangement and systematic display. The kitchen shelf should be organized in such a way that every necessary article should be easily available and neatly kept.

The kitchen shelf needs to be cleaned and re arranged on a regular interval of time. The kitchen becomes dirty and messed up if the kitchen shelf is not cleaned properly and regularly.

Kitchen shelf cleaning and arrangement is very essential. The cooking becomes very simple if all the required ingredients are at hand. It reduces extra efforts of finding the material needed. Everything is easy to reach at the necessary time. Therefore, kitchen shelf should be well organized. An untidy kitchen shelf also causes a mess all over.

The ingredients mix up with one another and nothing seems in place. Untidy kitchen shelf can also be a breeding place for cockroaches and mice. The unhygienic conditions caused because of the untidy kitchen shelf are not good for health.

To clean kitchen shelf, you should follow a proper series of steps. These steps make it easier to clean and arrange kitchen shelf. Some general steps that one can follow to clean their kitchen shelf are:-

Make a list – To begin with make a list of ingredients, utensils and other cutlery required in the kitchen. According to the list you can be sure of the space you will require for them in the kitchen shelf. The list should include all the material you want to arrange on the kitchen shelf. Segregate the items according to their utility. Make segregation as food grains, packaged foods, spices, etc. List similar items together.

Clean the kitchen shelf – Before putting all the ingredients together, clean the kitchen shelf thoroughly. First, dry clean the shelf using a rough cloth or broom. Remove all the dust and dirt accumulated in the shelf. Later, use a floor cleaner or liquid cleaner to wash the shelf and make it shining clean. Wipe the shelf dry using a clean cloth.

Store the ingredients – To store the various ingredients and materials required in the kitchen, you will need appropriate containers for them. The ingredients should be stored properly in containers and should not be left open anywhere. The food may spoil or make the shelf untidy. So it is always good to have proper storage units and containers. Also, label the containers with the name of the ingredients filled in them. This will make it easy for anybody to find things in your kitchen. Your kitchen will also be well organized.

Place the containers – Organizing kitchen shelf gets tricky from this step. The most essential part in cleaning kitchen shelf is to arrange all the accessories accurately. The containers and utensils should be so placed that it should look organized. It should b easy for you to search for ingredients. Place all the similar ingredients together. Place all the items you need every day at some place where it is easy to reach.

Maintain – Do not relax and sit back once you have organized your kitchen shelf well. The kitchen shelf needs regular cleaning and maintenance. Try to remove the dust and dirt every week. Also keep all the containers clean and do not let anything spill and spoil the kitchen shelf. Keep the kitchen shelf as clean and organized as possible.
