Remove Pookallam Rangoli Stains Easily!
The Onam celebration is over and the flowers on the floor have become stale. This is the first sign for you to remove the beautifully decorated pookallam at the entrance of your home. The festival of Onam brings joy and happiness in every home through the fragrance of the pookallam designs placed to welcome King Bali. However, after the harvest festival is over, one of the main things you should look into is the staining.
Every pookallam rangoli has flowers, powder and various other ingredients which is used to make the rangoli magnificent. After you remove the pookallam design, you see that your beautiful flooring has been stained. So, here are some of the remedies to try out.
These remedies will help remove the pookallam rangoli and the stains from the floor. Take a look:

Using Bleach
If you have used coloured rice for the pookallam rangoli, you can remove the stains from the flooring by using bleach. Mix a cup of bleach and water and pour it on the floor after you sweep away the pookallam rangoli.

Soap water
If you have used wet rangoli powder for your pookallam rangoli, then it might be a trouble to remove the stains from the floor. Use detergent and water to remove the rangoli stains. If it does not disappear in the first round, repeat the process.

Coconut oil
There are times when the rangoli stains on the floor is stubborn to come out. The only way you can remove the stubborn rangoli stains is by applying coconut oil over the stain. Use your hand or a cotton cloth to remove the stain off the flooring.

Lemon
After you remove the pookallam rangoli, you will be surprised to see that the design has stained your marble floor. Squeeze a dab of lemon juice over the stain and scrub it using a woolen cloth. This trick will remove the stain effectively.

Vinegar
When you are left with no option and worried on how to remove a pookallam rangoli stain left behind by the pressed flowers, place a few drops of vinegar over the stain. Using a coir rub the stain in a circular motion, remove the stain. This remedy will help do the trick and solve your problem.

Dishwashing liquid
Remove a pookallam rangoli stain on your floor by using a dishwashing liquid. Mix three drops of liquid with baking powder and remove the stubborn floor stain.

Salt
You can even use salt to remove harsh floor stains. Salt water is sprinkled on the stain and then soak for about 15 minutes on the pookallam rangoli design. It is then wiped away with a wet cloth.

Baking powder
Baking powder is very effective if you have a pookallam rangoli stain on your floor. Sprinkle baking powder over the stain and wash off after 15 minutes using clear water.
