Tips To Wash & Maintain Lingerie

Wash and maintain lingeries:
1. Undergarments lose their elasticity if not washed properly. Bras have to be washed with care as they either have pads or underwire.
2. Read the label of the fabric material. Bras are made with different fabrics such as cotton, silk, satin and lycra.
3. To wash lingeries especially bras, use a lingerie bag. Put the bras in the bag and wash in the washing machine. Use cold water and detergent solution. Close the clasps or hook the bras before washing them.
4. Scrub the bra straps with a soft brush. This is an effective tip to wash bras and prevent them from spoiling.
5. Avoid mixing lingeries with dark clothes. This helps protect the colour and prevent them from fading.
6. To wash silk or satin lingeries, use a mild detergent or soap. Hand washing is best as it maintains the lingeries.
7. Use few drops of vinegar to remove sweat stains from the straps and linings.
8. Don't dry the lingeries in dryer. Let them air dry. This prevents the undergarments from shrinking.
9. Always wash lingeries in cold water and not in hot water. Hot water spoils the elasticity.
10. To wash underwire bras, use cold water and hand wash them. Don't use brush as it can spoil the fabric and break the underwire.
Follow these tips to wash and maintain lingeries for a long time.
