Simple Ways To Fix Hard Water Stains

The water can be called Hard if the salt levels such as calcium and magnesium are high. The greater the concentration of the minerals, the harder will be the water.
It is important to wipe away the hard water stains before they get too deep, as over a period of time they become tough to remove, and can even become permanent if left too long.
Removing Salt Stains And Hard Water Stains-
1. For Vessels and Utensils - For the existing stains, it is safe to use those cleaning agents which aren't very harmful for health. A paste of lemon juice and baking soda can rub those stains easily and to maintain always soak vessels in tamarind water as the tartaric acid will avoid the formation of the salt layers.
2. For Tanks – Tanks need to cleaned by a strong agent as the water is stored always. A salt paper can be used to remove the salt deposits and then be brushed with bleaching powder (preferably chlorine bleach).
3. For Flooring – White Vinegar for flooring would do a perfect choice as it is cheap, harmless. Justin rubbing a vinegar soaked cloth on the floor would clean the age old hard water stains on the floor. For the tough stains, a scrub or a scouring pad will help.
4. For Fabric – Even fabrics lose color and get dull if constantly washed in hard water so the best way to wash clothes is by adding a cup of detergent with a cup of water conditioners. This will help in clearing fabric stains and rinsing in the plain water (with water conditioners) would be more than sufficient.
5. The next big step would be to soften the water, and for that, try using some water conditioners that on ion exchange treat the water. Water conditioners will be available in various grocery stores. For drinking, it is best install a water softener system that will help in increasing the Sodium level in the water.
