Tips For Easy Sweeping And Mopping Floor

Mopping, of course, is a must if the flooring is a tile flooring. The dry dust is swept with the broom but the greasy and muddy dust (fine dust) requires mopping. For easy housekeeping, we will give you a set of cleaning tips that will make your home sparkle without too much effort. Take a look.
How To Sweep And Mop A Floor? - Cleaning Tips
For Sweeping:
1. Choosing A Broom: For tile and wood flooring (smooth floor) you need to buy synthetic brooms while rough floor requires fiber brooms. Your broom needs to be at a comfortable height so that you do not have to bend too much and should have a grippy handle. It should be a sharp edged broom to reach the hidden corners of the house.
2. Though there are various methods to sweep a floor, we suggest you to not to pull the pile of dirt from one room to the other. Instead, mark a starting point for every room and pile up the dirt into sections. Dump the dirt using the trash pan immediately.
3. If you are too bad at moving the broom then lets tell you the right way to sweep. You begin from right or left see to it you end the movement by dragging the broom towards you.
4. After the task, dust it to maintain it dry and clean. Hang it to avoid bristles. Do not wet brooms as they stink and get damaged too soon.
For Mopping:
1. Floor cleaning is generally carried out in two steps. First sweeping and then mopping. To mop a floor, you will require a piece of cloth or a mopper, a bucket of water, a disinfectant (phenol) and a pair of rubber gloves.
2. You get two types of moppers for floor cleaning. The string mopper for rough and sponge mopper for smooth floors. When you mop a floor you need to move backwards from the starting point so that your foot prints do not dirty the floor again.
3. Always squeeze the excess water (wringing) from the moppers so that the floor gets dry quickly. Mopping is just like scrubbing so apply pressure and move the the mop left to right.
4. Every time the water in the bucket gets dirty, change the water and continue with the floor cleaning. Do not mop wooden floor, wipe only if the floor is stained (in case of emergency).
