In every home, most of us try to get rid of the bad smell, by either purchasing home aroma oils or room fresheners. The main reason for our home smelling bad is the type of food we keep around the house that rots. In order to get rid of this smell, we should know what type of food to store in the refrigerator so that it doesn"t get spoilt and smell.

Here below is some of the important ways on how to clean your refrigerator.

1. Before you start to clean your refrigerator, remove all the food from it. Get rid of food that is rotten and expired. The rest of the food store well in a cool place till you clean out the refrigerator.

2. Now begin to clean the refrigerator by removing the shelves and the drawers. You can wash the shelves and drawers in hot water along with soap as they are made out of plastic. Keep in mind that if your shelves are glass, let it cool for a while to prevent the cracking of the glass when you wash in hot water.

3. Wipe the interior of the refrigerator with a warm cloth soaked in soap water. To remove the tough spills in the refrigerator, scrub gently using a non-abrasive scrubber. Rinse the soft cloth thoroughly after each wipe.

4. After you clean the interior of the refrigerator with the soap water, use a dry cloth to wipe it to avoid dripping of water inside the walls of the refrigerator. Likewise, you can clean the freezer in the same way.

5. Replace the food in the refrigerator and begin to clean the outside of the exterior. Use a cloth dipped in mild soap water to remove the dust collected on the refrigerator. Also clean the rubber casket seal as it collects dirt and grime which will be the cause for the seal to break.

Using these cleaning tips, you can now keep your refrigerator free from bad odours and dirt. If you add in a box of baking soda to your refrigerator it will eliminate all types of odours.
