'Spotless' – The Book On Stain Removal

The author, Australia's Shanon Lush, and journalist-friend, Jennifer Fleming, have already fetched a lot of name by becoming the best-selling authors with their book, and is now being referred to as the Queen of Clean. The book, too, doesn't seem to come with extra empowering knowledge as to how one should remove stains. "It was just astonishing, it''s just a little book about dirt," The Courier Mail quoted Shanon Lush as saying. With 500,000 copies already been sold the authors have already ventured out the second edition of the book, 'Spotless 2'. The new book has updated remedies, as well as many new ones, including a chapter devoted to clothing and shoes.
Lush, who is 52-years-old, swears by the old-fashioned approach of using the same products like grandmothers have done at their times. She is, whatsoever, completely against the use of pre-mixed supermarket chemical cleaners. In her opinion, the cleaning essentials every household should have are bicarb soda, vinegar, methylated spirits, oil of cloves, lavender oil and lemon oil. "They are all used in day-to-day cleaning, and there is no need to go out with 'those nasty chemical mixes that tell you big lies,'" said Lush. The sydney based author who is also a mother of two, has revealed that her interest in stain removal is because of a background in chemistry, as well as methodical approach.
