Punjab Uses Modern Techniques For Farming

Progressive farmers are using all the available mediums to improve the food production and help the state grow. Among them is Pavittarpal Singh Pangali, a progressive farmer and President of the Punjab Kisan Club.
Pavittarpal is happy to have opted for using different methods including taking help of the latest technology. "I got a chance to work at various levels. We worked as a team with proper cooperation. I had worked with almost eight Presidents of Kisan Club. Therefore the Kisan Club unanimously elected me as their 13th President."
The strength of Kisan Club is over 5000 out of which 500 to 700 are women. Pavittarpal got a chance to meet a lot of experts.
In the modern day world, farming in Punjab is completely related with using latest technologies. The conventional methods of farming do not exist any more. Those who work without technology fail to get desired results.
The Kisan Club will soon start farmer consultancy service in the coming time and train other farmers to take advantage of progressive farming methods.
"My personnel target is to convert the farmer"s seasonal income into monthly income. We are planning to change their cropping patterns so that the farmers will be able to earn every month like salaried servicemen. To achieve it we are promoting various technologies, vegetable growing, banana cultivation as well as popular scientific cultivation," said Pavittarpal.
