How To Maintain gardening?
Installing a water garden or a pond in a beautiful lawn is every gardener's desire. The mesmerizing beauty of clean serene water leaves anybody spell bound. The picture with the most fascinating fishes sizzling around gives solace to the beholder, but the algae dominated area can spoil the whole fun too. The maintenance and management of water is the most crucial element in successful water gardening. Here are some useful tips to maintain gardening.
Algae flourish and cloud the water immediately after installation, and every spring. To minimize its growth avoid stirring up the bottom of the pond unnecessarily.
Use algaecides in the morning 8- 10 a.m. when oxygen is more prolific. Make sure they don't harm the pond fish or plants.
Install a filtration system and periodically check if it's blocked with any kind of debris. Make sure to clean the filter at least once a week to keep away algae or any kind of debris.
To avoid adding nutrients to encourage new growth clean excess dead algae with a water vac.
Introduce floating leaf plants in the pond as its shade helps prevent light and water temperature from promoting algae growth. To control the algae completely surface 70-80% of the water surface.
Use plastic pond liners to avoid soaking of nutrients from surrounding soil that help the growth of algae. Another alternative method is to plant a buffer strip of plants around the pond to soak up those nutrients.
Introduce rooted plants, which can absorb nutrients that would otherwise feed algae.
Maintaining an aquatic environment means more than filling a tub and tossing in some fish.
Professionals suggest changing the water about 10 percent per week.
Install a waterfall or fountain to circulate the water, if the pond seems to generate mosquitoes Use a hand held skimming device to remove fallen leaves from the pool. During the fall cover the pool with a screen or net. It is recommended to remove leaves, dead aquatic plant foliage, etc., every week.
Add a new life to your garden with these guidelines. Eliminating algae and experience bright and healthy water gardening that glitter's with exotic beauty for years.
