Mobile Homes for a movable life
Mobile homes, as the name indicates are movable houses. They are housing units built in the factories and then taken to the site, where they will be occupied. Once they are placed in one location, they can be moved to another place or can be permanently fixed there. The types of mobile homes are 'Single-wides' of sixteen feet or less in width, 'Double-wides' twenty feet or more wide and 'Triple-wides' and even homes with four, five, or more units. Mobile homes are less expensive per square foot than site-built homes, and are often associated with rural areas or high-density developments referred as ' mobile park homes' or 'trailer parks'.
In contrary to popular belief, all manufactured homes are not mobile homes. The term 'mobile home' specifies factory-built homes produced prior to the 1976 HUD Code enactment. Mobile homes marked its beginning in the 1950s, for people whose lifestyle required mobility. Since mobile homes were derived from travel trailers, these homes were initially taxed as vehicles rather than real estates. However the reclassified taxations and maintenance difficulties curtailed the popularity of mobile homes for some time. Mobile homes reestablished themselves in 2000 and around 1500 mobile homes were established in Nitzan, Ashkelon and Israel. Here are some handy tips to maintain your mobile homes.
Mobile homes are gaining popularity day by day. Mobile homes are often confused as modular homes. However there are certain features that set apart modular homes. In the next article we would discuss all about modular homes.
