What could be the possible reason for stomach bloating and how do we avoid it then? In most of the cases it has been noted that stomach bloating is caused due to overeating, constipation and intolerance towards certain foods or contaminated food and change in the weather conditions.

1. Gap Between Drinks And Meal:
There should be a gap of at least 15 minutes (before and after) between your meal and any drink you consume. This helps in preventing formation of gas and stomach bloating.

2. Exercise:
Walking for a while, at least 5 minutes after your meal or slight exercise before your breakfast helps in preventing stomach bloating.

3. Avoid Dairy Products:
For those of you who are intolerant to lactose needs to avoid any dairy products as this will increase the formation of gas and cause stomach bloating.

4. Chewing Foods Properly:
When you sit to eat your food, make sure that you chew the foods properly instead of just swallowing. When you swallow the food quickly you also end up taking in a lot of air. This leads to retention of gas and causes stomach bloating.

5. Reduce Salt Intake:
When there is excess consumption of salt, it increases the water retention in the body and this gives you a bloated feeling. Hence cutting down on salt intake helps to prevent stomach bloating.

6. Avoid Soda:
Soda and consumption of excessive carbonated drinks causes stomach bloating. When this excess gas is not released then it leads to bloating of stomach giving you that uneasy feeling.

7. Avoid Eating Too Much Legumes:
After eating your favourite rajma, peas and lentils you might get a bloated feeling. These legumes are rich in fibres and sugars which the body fails to absorb and this causes stomach bloating. Hence, avoid consuming them in excess amount.
