Here Are The Health Problems Sasikala Needs To Be Careful About While In Jail
Here is a list of common health issues that one can face inside the jail. Read on to know more.
From the past few days, the nation is all eyed on Tamil Nadu. Following the death of Jayalalitha, the race for the post of Chief Minister was on between Sasikala and O. Panneerselvam. But fate had something else in store for both of them.
Amidst much drama and fanfare, unfortunately Sasikala has been sentenced for a four-year prison term in lieu of the corruption case levied on her, as per the Supreme Court's decision.
Though there is no such reported case of major health problems for Sasikala; but as it is said that 'prevention is better than cure', so it is better to take up certain precautions while serving the term in jail.

Often, we have heard about infections being spread in jails due to the conditions they are maintained in.
Sasikala is being lodged at the Bengaluru's Parappana Agrahara jail. Meanwhile, Sasikala had sent a request letter to the jail authorities stating that she needs certain added facilities, as she is suffering from blood sugar.

She has sought for facilities that include a western commode-type separate toilet, 24-hour running hot water and mineral water for drinking purpose.
Here are the common ailments that she could suffer from when in jail.

1. Cold & Cough:
Proper hygiene is one major issue inside any jail. Spread of infection like common cold and cough are common health concerns among the inmates.

2. Skin Rashes:
One cannot expect the jail to be hygienic. Hence, there are chances for one to develop skin rashes.

3. Respiratory Problems:
The dust and the mites languishing can cause allergies and there are chances for one to develop respiratory problems due to this.

4. UTI:
When the toilets are unhygienic and dirty, there are high changes for one to develop urinary tract infection (UTI). And UTI is more common among women.

5. Stress:
Thinking over and over again, and the frustration of staying inside the four walls of the jail can leave one to be totally stressed out causing more harm to oneself.
